Spring Cottage is an iconic cottage with space for up to four people in two bedrooms. It’s just a short walk from the famous Lulworth Cove, which is part of England’s only natural UNESCO World Heritage coastline. This charming thatched cottage is the ideal spot for a special escape. Inside is everything you need, and you’ll wake up to the lovely sounds of birds and the gentle sound of waves at the Cove. Plus, it’s pet-friendly, and your dogs will be in their element.

We’ve included a welcome folder with all the information you need about the cottage, Lulworth and the area, and our friendly Holiday Team is always ready to suggest some great dining spots or the best places to find local treats. If you’re staying for three nights or more, you’ll also get a welcome pack with some delicious locally made bread, eggs, milk, biscuits, jam, tea, coffee and sugar.

Layout: 

The master bedroom is a treat, with a king-sized bed, cosy goose down and microfibre pillows and super soft white Beaumont & Brown linen for a truly comfortable night’s sleep. The room is well-equipped with bedside tables and lamps, and plenty of storage. There is also a beautiful ensuite bathroom with a shower. The second bedroom, which is across the landing, has enough space for two single beds. Both bedrooms have lovely views of the real spring and gardens.

The family-size bathroom on the first floor is well-appointed, with a shower over a bath and a heated towel rail. Each person gets a comfy cotton robe, fluffy white towels and Lulworth body wash, hand soap and shampoo.

The dining room boasts a roomy table for four, plus a lovely inglenook. You’ll also find a fully-equipped kitchen at the back of the property. The cottage includes a handy outdoor utility area with a washing machine and tumble dryer. The kitchen comes with a dishwasher, pantry, a fridge-freezer and a gas oven and grill with a four-burner hob. There’s a smaller breakfast table where you can enjoy your morning coffee. 

The sitting room has a TV and DVD player, with a comfy two-seater sofa and two armchairs, all around the stunning inglenook fireplace with a woodburner. 

The property’s lovely front garden has a patio area with seating under the eaves, with established flowerbeds, mature shrubs and a grass lawn. We’ve got a table and chairs with a parasol for you to soak up the afternoon sunshine by the bubbling spring, perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach or in the water. 

The pedestrianised street right outside Spring Cottage leads through the village and its many restaurants, cafes, gift shops, The Doll’s House Confectionery Shop and ice cream kiosks, all the way down to Lulworth Cove and the highly recommended Boat Shed Cafe. Sometimes, you might even have the beach all to yourself to watch the fishermen bring in their day’s catch.

The property has allocated, off-road parking for two vehicles in a privately accessed, gated driveway. Complimentary parking across the Lulworth Estate is included in your stay upon receipt of your car registration number, allowing you unlimited access to Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Lulworth Castle Park. For day trips further afield, there is a bus stop within West Lulworth village, with links to Poole, Weymouth and Swanage.
Central heating and good WiFi are available at the cottage. The phone signal may be limited so we have provided a landline for local calls and recommend using 'Wi-Fi calling' on your mobile if the signal is weak.
 
Please note:
Spring Cottage is situated close to the area of the Lulworth Ranges, where military training and live firing may occasionally be heard dependent on wind direction.
Lulworth Castle, parklands and walks will be closed from Friday 17th July to Saturday 8th August 2026 inclusive for the incredible Camp Bestival but the rest of the Estate is open as usual.
Please be aware that due to its period features the staircase is quite steep and unsuitable for small children or those who are unsteady on their feet.
