Layout:
No.2 Coastguard Cottages sleeps eight people in four spacious bedrooms. You’ll find two rooms with king-size beds, one with a super king and one with two single beds. As one of our larger holiday cottages, you can also book the adjoining cottages to create even more space, making it the perfect place to spend time with family and friends.
We’ve got goose down and microfibre pillows, super crisp white Beaumont & Brown linen, fluffy white towels and a cosy cotton robe for each guest.
Guests can unwind in a bright, open-plan sitting-dining area, perfect for chatting and relaxing, all around a lovely fireplace. French doors open onto the front terrace, giving you amazing views of Lulworth Cove. If you’re feeling adventurous, the private garden at the back has a terrace, lawn and lots of seating for outdoor dining and relaxing. The modern kitchen is super well-equipped, with a big oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and washer/dryer.
On the ground floor, you’ll find a spacious bathroom with a bath and overhead shower. The first floor bathroom is also well-appointed and has a walk-in shower. Each bathroom comes with our Lulworth body wash, hand soap and shampoo.
Right outside No.2, there’s off-road parking for two cars in a private, gated driveway. Plus, you get complimentary parking across the Lulworth Estate when you bring your car, so you can explore Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Lulworth Castle Park at your leisure. For day trips to other places, there’s a bus stop in West Lulworth village that connects you to Poole, Weymouth and Swanage.
The pedestrianised street to the left of the parking area takes you through the village and its many restaurants, cafes, gift shops, The Doll’s House Confectionery Shop and ice cream kiosks, all the way down to Lulworth Cove and the highly recommended Boat Shed Cafe. Sometimes, you might even have the beach all to yourself! In front of the Coastguard Cottages, there’s a big, grassy area perfect for picnics and exercise, with paths leading to Lulworth Cove and Stair Hole.
Central heating and good Wi-Fi are included in your holiday. Just a heads-up, phone signal might be a bit spotty, so we’ve got a landline for local calls and we recommend using 'Wi-Fi calling' on your mobile.
Also, please note: No.2 Coastguard Cottages is close to the Lulworth Ranges, where you might hear military training or live firing depending on the wind.
Lulworth Castle, parklands and walks will be closed from Friday 17th July to Saturday 8th August 2026 inclusive for the incredible Camp Bestival with the rest of the Estate open as usual.
