Millpond Cottage is a wonderfully charming Grade II listed former Mill House with space for up to four people. Built in the 19th century and steeped in history and character, it is just seconds from the iconic Lulworth Cove, which is part of England's only natural UNESCO World Heritage coastline. This enchanting cottage is the perfect spot for a memorable getaway, inside is everything you need. Wake up to the lovely sounds of the birds, and the soothing swell of the waves in the cove.

We've included a welcome folder with all the information you need about the cottage, Lulworth, and the local area. Our friendly Holiday Team is always ready to suggest some great dining spots or the best places to find local treats. Included in your stay, you'll receive a welcome pack with some delicious locally made bread, eggs, milk, biscuits, jam, tea, coffee, and sugar.

Layout:
The master bedroom is dreamy, with a king-sized bed, cosy goose down and microfibre pillows, and super soft white Beaumont & Brown linen over a Hypnos Cashmere mattress for a truly comfortable nights sleep. The room is equipped with bedside tables and lamps. There is also a warm and inviting ensuite bathroom with a shower. The second bedroom is across the landing, this bedroom has a king-sized bed which can be split to two single beds upon request, which are ideal for children, as well as a stunning view down to the sea.

The family bathroom can be found on the first floor and is well-appointed, with a roll top bath and a heated towel rail. Each guest will get a comfy cotton robe, fluffy white towels and Lulworth body wash, hand soap and shampoo.

Downstairs there is a cosy sitting room which has a smart TV, with a comfy two-seater sofa and two armchairs, surrounding the electric flame effect wood burner. Across the hall is the inviting fully-equipped kitchen with a double range oven and induction hob, microwave, dishwasher, and fridge-freezer. A wonderfully cosy banquette seating area provides the perfect spot to settle in and soak up the atmosphere.

Accessed from the first-floor landing, the picturesque rear garden unfolds across several levels, with a wonderful patio terrace overlooking the charming millpond. A selection of thoughtfully placed seating areas offers the perfect setting for every moment of relaxation, from enjoying a quiet afternoon in the sunshine to taking in the breathtaking sea views.

The pedestrianised street right outside Millpond Cottage leads through the village and its many restaurants, cafes, gift shops, The Doll's House Confectionery Shop, ice cream kiosks, all the way down to Lulworth Cove, and the highly recommended Boat Shed Cafe. Sometimes you might even have the beach all to yourself to watch the fishermen bring in their day's catch.

The property has allocated, off-road parking for two vehicles in a privately accessed gated driveway. Complimentary parking across Lulworth Estate carparks is included in you stay upon receipt of your car registration number, allowing you unlimited access to Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, and Lulworth Caste Park. For day trips further afield there is a bus stop within West Lulworth, with links to Poole, Weymouth and Swanage.

Central heating and good Wi-Fi are available at the cottage. The phone signal may be limited so we have provided a landline for local calls and recommend using 'Wi-Fi calling' on your mobile.

Please note:
Millpond Cottage is situated close to the area of the Lulworth Ranges, where military training and live firing may occasionally be heard dependent on wind direction. 

Please be aware that over the last weekend in July each year, the incredible Camp Bestival takes place at Lulworth Castle which can cause local disruption and does mean the Castle and Grounds are not open to the public in the surrounding weeks before and after the festival. 

Please note that, in keeping with its historic character Millpond Cottage has many period features, including low ceilings and doorways.
