King Room - The Weld Arms

Just a 5-minute drive from Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove, The Weld Arms is a wonderful 17th century coaching inn, nestled at the foot of the famous Lulworth Castle grounds in the picturesque village of East Lulworth. There are several lovely walks from The Weld Arms. Lulworth Lake is a hidden gem right in the middle of the Lulworth countryside. Arish Mell, your closest coastal walk, is within Ministry of Defence land and while the beach itself is inaccessible, the views from the surrounding hills are unmissable. The walks from Lulworth Castle Park are an excellent insight into the country estate.

Our King Rooms have been tastefully renovated to provide you and your loved-ones with a welcoming, relaxing home-from-home experience. Each have a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom. One of our King Rooms comes with shower over bath, while the others have walk in showers. If you would like to discuss booking a particular room, please call or email our Holidays Team.

We provide goose down pillows, and luxuriously crisp white Egyptian cotton linen over a Hypnos cashmere mattress for your comfort. Guests receive fluffy white towels, and Lulworth body wash, hand soap and shampoo. The King Rooms are a wonderful base from which to experience the local walks, eateries, and attractions of Lulworth and the surrounding areas.

Also included in the suite is a hairdryer, kettle, coffee machine and welcome pack which contains tea and coffee making facilities.

Some of our King Rooms are pet-friendly, welcoming 1 small dog; please let us know if you'll be bringing your four-legged friend with you.
Breakfast is included in your stay, our kitchen is open for breakfast from 08.00-10.00 daily.

Please note:

The Weld Arms is situated close to the Lulworth Ranges, where military training and live firing may occasionally be heard dependent on wind direction.

Lulworth Castle, parklands and walks will be closed from Friday 17th July to Saturday 8th August 2026 inclusive for the incredible Camp Bestival. If you are staying over this period, please do talk to us and we can give you more details.
