Dog-Friendly Getaways with Lulworth Holidays
No one wants to leave their dog at home! With Lulworth Holidays, we encourage you to bring your four-legged friends with you. With our pet-friendly cottages, there’s no reason to leave them behind! But what can you do during your holiday? We have just a few ideas here!
In the local area, there are dog friendly beaches all year round, with the most local swims in Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and Man O’ War Bay. These beaches are almost all dog-friendly, with just the section to the right of Lulworth Cove being pet-free.
The Boat Shed on the edge of Lulworth Cove sells dog treat packs for your pup so you can enjoy your coffee while they enjoy a little something of their own.
Check out the Heritage centre café for a doggy ice cream as well!

Tyneham Village is a short drive away from your cottage. After having been evacuated in 1943 for training during WWII, the village is still completely uninhabited and used for military training year-round. However, it is open for public visits most weekends, and a completely dog friendly visit! More information on opening times can be found here.
Corfe Castle is a National Trust location with almost 1000 years of history! Take your dog for a long walk through the ruins and grounds, before visiting the miniature, or full sized, village.
Portland Castle is also open year-round for family and dog friendly visits. With the site providing hundreds of years’ worth of historical knowledge and adventure, this could be the ideal location for a great day out!
At the end of the day, after a long excursion with your pets, you can enjoy a meal and at one of the many food spots in Lulworth. All dogs are welcomed at many restaurants with open arms and may even be offered a biscuit on arrival.
